Sunbury Press, Inc., in business since 2004, is based near Mechanicsburg, in the Susquehanna Valley of Pennsylvania. As a mid-sized independent publisher, we produce between seventy to one-hundred new titles per year with a small staff. All of our team members are talented professionals who work from home. While most of our staff have many years of experience, over the years, we have hired many editors and marketers for their first internships or employment opportunities.  We are always welcoming to talented and creative people who want to be part of an emerging company in the age of digital publishing.

EMPLOYMENT

Assistant Editor (part-time)

We are currently seeking an editor to assist with the improvement of author book manuscripts. College experience with Creative Writing, English Literature, English, History, Fine Arts, or other subjects will be considered. We publish a wide variety of categories. This position is part-time, approximately ten to fifteen hours per week, reporting to the Managing Editor. This position is 100% work from home. No commute is required, but you will need Internet access, a computer, and word processing software. Experience is preferred but not necessary. Hourly wage commensurate with experience. Assistant Publicist (part-time)

We are currently seeking a publicist to assist with the promotion of authors, books, and events. The ideal candidate will have strong written communication skills and will have Marketing as a major (or minor). Experience with the Cision publicity platform is preferred, but not necessary (we will train the right candidate). This position is part-time, approximately ten to fifteen hours per week, reporting to the Vice President of Marketing and Publicity. This position is 100% work from home. No commute is required, but you will need Internet access, a computer, and word processing software. Experience is preferred but not necessary. Hourly wage commensurate with experience.
