Bohner and Gronsky’s “A Short Season” returns as the Sunbury Press bestseller for May

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. —  Sunbury Press has released the bestsellers list for May. A Short Season, recounting the life of Josiah Viera, a baseball-loving youth battling progeria, climbed back to the top spot. Recently released The Most Hated Man in America: Jerry Sandusky and the Rush to Judgment by Mark Pendergrast took the 2nd spot. The biography of Eddie Plank, Gettysburg Eddie, was 3rd. Lawrence Knorr (and Bang) also took the 24th spot with The BANG Story. Doug Beed’s Vietnam memoir Chasing Understanding in the Jungles of Vietnam was 4th. Michael Hawley nabbed 5th place with his exceptional investigation of Jack the Ripper: Jack the Ripper Suspect Dr. Francis Tumblety.  Joe Regenbogen’s The Boys from Brookdale, about a group of WW2 veterans at the same nursing home, was #6. Cheryl Brooks’ Chicken Bone Beach grabbed 7th.  Sheldon Munn moved up to 8th place with his Freemasons at Gettysburg. Former Congressman Jason Altmire fell to 9th with his political book Dead Center, seeking to end the partisan divide in US politics. Mike Campbell’s mainstay Amelia Earhart: The Truth at Last rounded out the top ten. John L. Moore took ten of the fifteen lower positions with his Frontier Pennsylvania series and Revolutionary Pennsylvania series books.

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. —  Sunbury Press has released the bestsellers list for April. Former Congressman Jason Altmire reclaimed the top spot with his political book Dead Center, seeking to end the partisan divide in US politics. A Short Season, recounting the life of Josiah Viera, a baseball-loving youth battling progeria, slipped one spot to 2nd place. Jim Remsen’s Embattled Freedom about the Underground Railroad in Waverly, Pennsylvania returned to the list at #3.  Lawrence Knorr claimed the 4th spot with his biography of Eddie Plank, Gettysburg Eddie, and 17th place with the biography of Carl Scheib, Wonder Boy. Joe Regenbogen’s The Boys from Brookdale, about a group of WW2 veterans at the same nursing home, was #5. Recently released The Most Hated Man in America: Jerry Sandusky and the Rush to Judgment by Mark Pendergrast took the 6th. Joe Fair’s Vietnam memoir Call Sign Dracula held the 7th spot. John L Moore took six spots with his popular Frontier Pennsylvania and Revolutionary Pennsylvania series.

Mike Campbell’s Amelia Earhart: The Truth at Last held at #4. Joe Regenbogen’s brand new The Boys from Brookdale, about a group of WW2 veterans at the same nursing home, was #5.  Joe Fair’s Vietnam memoir Call Sign Dracula held the 6th spot. John L. Moore had ten of the spots in the bottom half with his books in the Frontier Pennsylvania and Revolutionary Pennsylvania series.

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. —  Sunbury Press has released the bestsellers list for February. Recently released The Most Hated Man in America: Jerry Sandusky and the Rush to Judgment by Mark Pendergrast took the top spot for the second month in a row. Charles Kniffen’s Vietnam memoir, Fifty Years in a Foxhole was second. Mike Campbell’s Amelia Earhart: The Truth at Last climbed to #3. Embattled Freedom, Jim Remsen’s recounting of the underground railroad and Civil War service of African Americans from Waverly, Pennsylvania, was 4th. Joe Fair’s Vietnam memoir Call Sign Dracula returned to the list in the 5th spot. Steve Troutman returned to the rankings, taking 6th place with his popular Tulpehocken Trail Traces. Lawrence Knorr’s Gettysburg Eddie: The Story of Eddie Plank slipped a bit to 7th place in advance of its release. Recently released The Most Hated Man in America: Jerry Sandusky and the Rush to Judgment by Mark Pendergrast took the top spot. Lawrence Knorr’s Gettysburg Eddie: The Story of Eddie Plank debuted in the 2nd spot in advance of its release. The late Ron Knorr and Clemmie Whatley soared to 3rd with The Georgia Segregated School for the DeafA Short Season, recounting the life of Josiah, a baseball-loving youth battling progeria, slipped one notch to the fourth spot in advance of its release. Joe Fair’s Vietnam memoir Call Sign Dracula returned to the list in the 5th spot.   Joe Farley’s basketball memoir Trumpet Call to Victory netted the sixth position. Former Congressman Jason Altmire’s Dead Center: How Political Polarization Divided America and What We Can Do About It finally fell from the top spot, dropping to 7th. John L. Moore claimed 8th with his new release Scorched Earth: General Sullivan and the Senecas. All of his books in the Frontier Pennsylvania series charted this month. Scott Zuckerman’s story of Murray Jacobs, a Seabee in WW2 entitled Dreams of My Comrades was ninth. Mark Carlson’s World War II aviation history The Marines’ Lost Squadron was tenth.
