Mark Pendergrast’s “The Most Hated Man in America” repeats as the Sunbury Press bestseller for February

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. — Sunbury Press has released the bestsellers list for February. Recently released The Most Hated Man in America: Jerry Sandusky and the Rush to Judgment by Mark Pendergrast took the top spot for the second month in a row. Charles Kniffen's Vietnam memoir, Fifty Years in a Foxhole was second. Mike Campbell's Amelia Earhart: The Truth at Last climbed to #3. Embattled Freedom, Jim Remsen's recounting of the underground railroad and Civil War service of African Americans from Waverly, Pennsylvania, was 4th. Joe Fair’s Vietnam memoir Call Sign Dracula returned to the list in the 5th spot. Steve Troutman returned to the rankings, taking 6th place with his popular Tulpehocken Trail Traces. Lawrence Knorr’s Gettysburg Eddie: The Story of Eddie Plank slipped a bit to 7th place in advance of its release. Doug Beed's Chasing Understanding in the Jungles of Vietnam climbed back to 8th. A Short Season, recounting the life of Josiah, a baseball-loving youth battling progeria, slipped to 9th in advance of its release. Troutman's The Penn's Manor of Spread Eagle rounded out the top ten.
