Albert T. Volwiler (1888-1957) was a professor of history and the chairman of the department of history at Ohio University, Athens, Ohio, for many years. He had previously worked at Wittenberg College in Springfield, Ohio until 1933. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania in 1926. His book George Croghan and the Westward Movement, 1741-1782 was his dissertation.
