Allen M. Hornblum is the author of seven books ranging in scope from organized crime and Soviet espionage to medical ethics and sports. His work has been featured on news shows such as the CBS Evening News, Good Morning America, Court TV, the BBC, CNN, as well as most newspapers including the front pages of the New York Times, and the Philadelphia Inquirer. Hehas also lectured at a cross-section of institutions including, the British Medical Association, the National Institutes of Health, the FBI, and a host of colleges and medical schools including Brown, Columbia, and Princeton universities. Prior to his decision to investigate and write books about controversial and long neglected subjects, Hornblum had a long career in law enforcement working in the Philadelphia Prison System and Sheriff’s Office, as well as the Pennsylvania Crime Commission.
