Author - Barbra Cabrera
Barbra Cabrera was born into the baseball world. Her father, Emilio, played professional baseball in Cuba and the United States. As a youngster, she worked with “Los Cubanitos”, the first of its kind youth baseball organization. Founded for Cuban exile children by her dad in Miami, it promoted the love of baseball. At the tender age of five, Barbra became a radio star, the youngest announcer in South Florida. As a print journalist, she covered the gamut from interviewing Hollywood movie and television stars to securing exclusive interviews when covering true crime stories. On Spanish-language radio, she found her calling as an investigative reporter. A life-long Miamian and baseball devotee, Barbra has the knack for locating things and people that are otherwise impossible to find.
