Chad E. Leinaweaver is the Director of the Morristown & Morris Township Library, and previously, served as the Head of the Special Collections Division of the Newark Public Library, the Director for the Library and Museum Collections for the New Jersey Historical Society, and the Director of Library User Access Services of the New England Historic Genealogical Society.
Chad has authored portions of the Dictionary of New Jersey History (New Library Press, 2006) and provided a chapter to Preserving Local Writers, Genealogy, Photographs, Newspapers and Related Materials (Scarecrow Press, 2012). He has authored many articles including a regular “Pocket Librarian” column for New England Ancestors magazine, and articles for Archival Anecdotes and other periodicals. Chad is a Mechanicsburg native, did research on Irving College while in graduate school at Northeastern University and met some of the former Irving College students in the 1990s.
