Author - Dennis Herrick
Dennis Herrick is the author of a biography of Esteban, a historical novel titled "Winter of the Metal People," a mystery, a sci-fi novel, several 99-cent short stories, and a textbook. Much of his fiction involves the American Southwest.
He won the 2004 Tony Hillerman Mystery Writing Contest for his short story "Hunting Season," and he won the 2010 Society of Southwestern Authors Writing Contest for his short story "An Unwilling Patient."
A native of Michigan, he and his wife now live beside the Rio Grande between Albuquerque and Santa Fe, New Mexico. Herrick is a former daily newspaper reporter and weekly newspaper publisher. His author's website is at dennisherrick.com and his Esteban blog is at dennisherrick.com/blog
