Doris Wilbur is the author of four novels, A Lenape Legacy, Riding the Float, A Lenape Captive-Ahmeya, and Checkers on the Hill. Her thought-provoking novels are based on historical events and concerning issues of contemporary times. They are infused with nature, and detailed surroundings that give you a real sense of place while taking you on an engaging adventure filled with humor, romance, challenges, and accomplishments. Doris lives at a small private lake surrounded by the woods and wildlife she often includes in her novels. She has lived and worked in rural locations as well as large multicultural cities. She and her husband are proud parents of five children and now have a large, extended family. She graduated from Mansfield University where she studied Creative Writing, Art Education and Botany and graduated Suma Cum Laude. Her career has included being co-owner of a printing business, working as a commercial artist and teaching in a public school. Now a senior, she has lived and worked in four different states and mines her years of experiences as produce for her interesting novels.
